2010 Florida Surety Association Legislative Day |
On Tuesday, February 16, 2010, we will host our annual Legislative Day in Tallahassee.
We will meet at the CapitalBuildingand receive a legislative update from our lobbyist, Rick Watson. We will then divide into groups and circulate the halls to try to speak with our legislatures. We will try to use the attendee list to determine the respective local legislatures for those attending in advance of the meeting. I am also trying to get a list of the potential filed bills in advance of our meeting; so that we can better understand what affects of each will be on our industry. We will forward a more formal schedule and the meeting room assignment one week prior to the meeting.
Dinner Meeting:
This year we will have a cocktail hour and sit down dinner in the Capital Room at The Governors Club, with a beer and wine cocktail hour sponsored by the FSA.
If you plan to attend this event, please book your hotel room ASAP, the block room rate is only held until February 1, 2010
